By now everybody knows someone who has made the switch to Mac. Are they just pretentious a-holes or do they know something that you do not? I recently purchased my first Mac, a Macbook Pro.
Read on and I'll explain my 10 reasons for choosing a Macbook Pro over a Windows notebook.
I have been using both music management tools interchangeably over the last six months. I really enjoy their automatic playlist creation tools. Playlists are something that I have lost the patience for over the years. When I began collecting mp3s I lived and died by the playlist. Since then, I have primarily listened to music in the form of albums, "how it was meant to be listened to" (so I thought).
I was recently introduced to the web based presentation tool “Prezi”. After a couple uses, I felt compelled to share my experiences and thoughts on this fairly unique piece of software. Prezi deserves some recognition, and what better way than to compare it to the king of all presentation resources: Microsoft PowerPoint. As a veteran PowerPoint user, I can immediately tell you that there are some aspects of Prezi that do surpass those of PowerPoint. Are these aspects alone enough to take a stab at the crown Microsoft has held for years?

Traditional wisdom says the Scrabble trumps Boggle. I'd like to challenge that today. Sure they are both centered on the concept of spelling, but the truth is they are completely different games. Scrabble is at best a relaxing game that tends to go on for hours. Boggle on the other hand is an extremely fast paced action game that can be enjoyed quickly and often. EA's iPad version of Boggle is nothing short of fantastic.
While the advent of Dropbox has given us the ability to synchronize our files to the cloud, there has not, until now, been a method to facilitate remote file access on the iPad. Enter TeamViewer HD. While TeamViewer has always provided us with a free and reliable means to remote access our home computers, it could only provide remote file access through Dropbox. However, a recent TeamViewer upgrade has changed all of that. Let me show you how...

The iPhone is full of surprises. There are more settings in the iOS operating system than you can shake a stick at. Every once in a while I find a "new" setting buried deep in the iOS settings menu that makes me very happy. This is one of those rare occasions. Enter keyboard shortcuts!
iPhone Push Email, Calendar, and Contacts Setup Guide: Send From Multiple Email Addresses Gmail Configuration
The iPhone is a wonderful device. For starters, it is an extremely capable phone, web browser, and camera. It does have it's limitations however. One area that could certainly use some improvement is email. Although the iPhone is compliant with all types of email accounts, it takes some minor tweaks to unleash it's full potential.
With the recent news that Apple, the makers of the wildly successful iPhone, iPod and iPad platforms, has more spending money than the entire United States of America it makes sense now why it seems like everyone in the world seems to own an iPhone or iPad these days. According to CNN Steve Jobs and Apple have a ridiculous $76.2 Billion in cash and marketable securities as compared to the US Treasury with only $73.8 Billion in operating cash. How is that possible? How could a tech company that was struggling as recently as the 90s now be wealthier than the most powerful nation on the planet? Well, since I'm no financial journalist or economic expert, I'm going to choose to focus on something a little closer to my area of expertise. Let's take a look at the TOP 10 iPhone Apps that we here at Gounce.com think that you shouldn't be without.
Okay so I'm probably not the first guy to complain about the Tim Hortons coffee cup lid... But I think that I have a justified right to gripe in this case. Firstly, it is not overly comfortable to drink from. Let's face it, it's kinda sharp! Secondly, in my experience, it's about 60% of the time that the lid actually snaps back into place correctly. Okay so 40% of the time you have to try that side-ways tear off. Don't get me started on the success rate of that!
A friendship is not official these days until it's confirmed on Facebook. There's something wrong with that. People consider posting hourly updates of the most remedial details of their lives on twitter or facebook as meaningful social interaction. How did this happen? Where did we go wrong??
So I naively assumed for many years that Hawaiian pizza was invented in Hawaii. Seems logical enough, but as we all know, things are not always as they seem.
Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), an animated movievoiced by George Clooney (Ocean's 11), Merryl Streep (Mamma Mia), Bill Murray (Ghostbusters, Life Aquatic) and Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore) not to mention the many other notable supporting actors. If that wasn't enough, this little gem of a movie was directed by none other than veteran director Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited).
Okay, so you've probably been overwhelmed with the influx of news about the "cloud". The Google Chrome OS beta project, the Cr-48 notebook, was announced on December 7th, 2010.
Microsoft's Azure OS has already been released to developers. Currently, Microsoft is pushing the combination of Windows 7 and Windows Live as "to the cloud". So where do you fit in, in all of this? Presently I have made use of two free programs to emulate the cloud, and so far, I couldn't be happier.
